Understanding the full upgrade to TAE40116 versus satisfying the minimum credential requirements...
If you choose to complete the full upgrade and obtain the latest TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, you will be required to hold the two core units of:
- TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools, and
- TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy.
In addition to this, you must upgrade two units from your TAE40110 that are deemed not equivalent. These units are:
- TAEASS401A/B Plan assessment activities and processes, and
- TAEASS403A/B Participate in assessment.
The upgrade gap for these units will be included in your TAE40110 to TAE40116 Upgrade Pathway as an additional online-only task.
Alternatively, if you wish to satisfy the minimum credential requirements only, trainers and assessors who obtained the TAE40110 only need to hold the two new core units of TAEASS502 and TAELLN411 (or equivalent). To find out more about these credential requirements please refer to the following webpage: https://www.education.gov.au/trainer-and-assessor-credential-requirements
Upon successful completion of these units, students will be issued a Statement of Attainment.
